The aim of the current research is to design a commercialization policy model for knowledge-based companies located in science and technology parks. The present research employs a mixed-methods exploratory design (qualitative-quantitative). The data collection method in the qualitative phase was semi-structured interviews, and thematic analysis was used as the analysis technique. The statistical population in the qualitative section included experts, managers, and university professors who were aware of the research topic and were selected using a purposive sampling method and a snowball approach until theoretical saturation was reached, which was achieved in the present study by conducting 14 interviews. In the quantitative phase, a five-point Likert scale questionnaire was used for data collection, and composite reliability was used to assess the questionnaire’s validity and reliability, yielding a value of 0.815. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.75. Data analysis in the quantitative phase was performed using interpretive structural modeling and partial least squares methods with Smart PLS software. The qualitative research results showed that the design of a commercialization policy model for knowledge-based companies located in science and technology parks consists of the following components, respectively: market analysis and valuation, standardization, technology development and updating, product development, training and recruitment of specialists, protection of inventions and innovations, supportive laws and legal services, financial support and investment, external and internal networking, and export and marketing.
