Significant gains can be yielded through the use of the internet and the new connective technologies such as Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). The aim of this article is to demonstrate integration of the two subjects. For this purpose, CMMS and RFID have been introduced and their integration has been demonstrated and discussed. The findings imply that RFID can provide competitive advantages to organizations as a prerequisite and supportive technology for CMMS.
